Each day, each vibrant heart, filled with Biblical text, expresses its individual creation and existence, yet flows and brings us full circle as the weeks and seasons evolve full cycle. Each week the Sabbath, Shabbat, glows, full of blessings, centering each of us as we celebrate the gifts God has bestowed on us within the world and universe He created.
There are six hearts, one for each day of creation. In each heart, inscribed multiple times, the words and verses for “that day” blossom into Ellen Miller Braun’s representation of G-d’s creation, revealing that specific day’s miraculous gifts.
First day of Creation: Genesis 1: 1-5
Day two of Creation; Genesis 1: 6-8
Day three of Creation: Genesis 1: 9-13
Day four of Creation: Genesis 1: 14-19
Day five of Creation: Genesis 1: 20-23
Day six of Creation: Genesis 1: 24-31
The Sabbath Day: Genesis 2: 1-24
You can feel the “invisible” Star of David supporting, surrounding, rooting, upholding the connection of each day, centered with the Sabbath, Shabbat, the Day of Rest. Shabbat floats in the center of the design. Genesis 2: 1-24 is inscribed once to create the word Sabbath in Hebrew, along with the Sabbath candles and wine goblet. The Sabbath centers each of us and connects each day of the week to its source.
